Wings and lingerie may command the spotlight at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, but the nails deserve a closer look.
This year, a soft “cashmere” manicure brought a sheer pink glow to the runway, complementing the show’s many looks with an understated finish.
With Holly Falcone (@hollyfalconenails) leading the nail team, Nail artist (@nailed.by.nika) helped bring that vision to life. Speaking with NAILCON, Nika shared the details behind the manicure and the backstage atmosphere that makes the experience so memorable.
“The inspo for this year’s VS nails was a soft ‘cashmere’ look that we achieved by layering different sheer pinks on the models to give it that glowy effect,” she explained. “It’s the perfect timeless manicure that matched all the themes for the show!”
The shape was equally considered. Models received gel extensions filed into short almonds, creating a delicate silhouette that looked like an extension of their natural nails. Paired with the layered sheer pinks, the result was polished, luminous, and versatile enough to carry across the runway’s changing themes.
Backstage, the atmosphere was just as warm as the manicure’s soft finish.
“My favorite part of being backstage at VS is the intoxicating energy and endless support,” Nika shared.
Despite the scale of the production, she described an environment filled with friendly faces, creative connections, and a cozy dress code.
“They come in wearing robes and fuzzy slippers, so it feels like I’m part of a fun sleepover rather than the biggest fashion show.”
That sense of sisterhood stayed with her as the final looks came together. Each finished manicure was one contribution to a production shaped by hours of work and a village of creatives.
“It’s amazing to see all the looks come together and realizing that it truly takes a village and HOURS of work to make something this phenomenal happen.”
